Almost all you girls will agree that periods are never on time. About 90 per cent of menstruating girls and women never have their periods on time.
This has happened to me many times and I am sure it must have happened to you too. You carry sanitary napkins in your bag for 3 days and there's no action, and suddenly on the fourth day, as soon as you leave back that napkin, you know your periods have started.
Some women have their periods exactly as per their cycle of 28 days. Other women have a gap of 7 days before or after their starting day.
This is very normal, but if you see any kind of abnormalities in your period cycle, get a checkup done. These abnormalities can either be menstruating for longer days than the normal 5 days. There have been instances of some women bleeding for up to 18 to 20 days also.
The other abnormality can be you missing out on your periods for an entire month without being pregnant.
If you see any of these changes in your period cycle, please take important measures and see a doctor soon. There could be other reasons for this such as eating disorders, weight gain or loss, hormonal imbalance, etc; however, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
