All of us must have experienced bleeding at some point of time in our lives. Nose bleeding is a very common issue in children and even occasionally in some adults too.
In Ayurveda, bleeding of the nose is referred to as Nakseer. According to Ayurveda, impaired Pitta is the cause behind nakseer or a nosebleed. If there is an imbalance in the Pitta, it may cause a nosebleed.
Other causes of bleeding could be due to an injury in the nose, high BP, nasal surgery, allergy, sinus, cold, and an excessive change in the climate.
Hence, Ayurveda recommends some food and dietary changes in those suffering from a chronic nose bleeding problem, such as
• Avoiding tamasic or spicy food
• Avoiding stress
• Including cow’s milk and ghee in your dietary regimen
• Having a good amount of sleep
