The antiseptic components of the tea tree oil can prevent any further infection. Though the benefits of tea tree oil for psoriasis are not proved yet, people use this in their shampoos to prevent itchy and dandruff-prone skin. But, don't use it if you're allergic to it.

5. Capsaicin

It is an ingredient present in chilis that works on the nerves to control pain. There are creams and ointments, available at markets, made with capsaicin. You can use it for effective relief from pain, redness, scaling and inflammation.

6. Oats

This is one of the best ingredients that you can't ignore. It is true that there is no evidence of oats working on psoriasis. However, people suffering from this disease have stated that they have got good positive results after applying oats paste.

7. Turmeric

You can say that it is one of the best home remedies of psoriasis available today because of its antiseptic value. Also, the effective substance, Curcumin, present in turmeric can change gene expression and avoid gene mutation. Experts suggest that applying turmeric paste on to the skin can effectively reduce any inflammation. You can also add it to your food to get good results.
