The most awaited festival of the year 'Diwali' is just over and for sure many of you might have put on a few kilos. The irresistible yummy foods, especially the mouth-watering sweets are something which most of us cannot resist during the festival and the result - you tend to put on weight.
Well, if you are one among those, then there are certain natural ways in which you can quicky lose weight post Diwali. As we gulp down those foods and sweets we do not realize what we are doing to our body, but as the festival gets over and the normal routine of everyday life begins we feel the change.

Also, people get so busy during the festival that their daily exercise goes for a toss. This is yet another reason for weight gain. Lack of proper sleep is another reason that adds to one's weight.

1. Lemon Water:
Take half a lemon, squeeze the juice into a glass of lukewarm water and then drink it early in the morning and also during the day. It helps in detoxifying the body and in getting rid of the extra weight gained during the festival.
2.Ginger & Honey Mixture:
Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, ginger and honey mixture works in helping one lose weight. Take a piece of ginger, add it to about two glasses of water and boil it for a while. Allow it to cool and then add one teaspoon of honey and then drink it early in the morning.
3. Aloevera Juice:
Aloevera is one of the best natural ingredients that helps in reducing the extra weight as well as in burning fat. It helps in detoxifying the body. One needs to take about two teaspoons of aloevera juice, mix it with water and then drink it early in the morning. One could also drink this mixture once more during the day.
4. Triphala:
Triphala is one of the best natural body detoxifiers. Add about a teaspoon of triphala powder to a glass of lukewarm water and mix it properly. Strain the liquid and then drink it early in the morning. It helps in quickly reducing the body weight.
5. Avoid Deep Fried Foods:
If you are on your way to detoxify the body post Diwali then you should avoid eating deep fried foods as fried foods further enhance in adding up calories and weight.
6. Avoid Milk Products:
Though rich in calcium but on days when you want to detoxify the body it is better to avoid milk products.
7. Avoid Drinking Soft Drinks:
Soft drinks contain a lot of added sugar which will further lead to increase in calories and weight. So it is better to avoid drinking soft drinks if you really want to lose weight.
8. Eat Fresh Fruits:
Make it a point to eat lots of fresh fruits like apples and oranges. It enables one to lose weight that was gained due to over indulgence on food and sweets during the festival.
