Increase Iodine
When you are suffering from hypothyroidism, you should ideally have more of iodine rich food. The main reason for this disease could be the fact that your body salts have a hit a low. The increased iodine will help the proper functioning of your thyroid gland. They will also improve metabolism. You can include kelp extract supplements to enrich the iodine content in your food. Seaweeds and seafood is also an excellent way of including iodine in your food.
Fresh Juice
In case of hypothyroidism, it is essential that you drink fresh juice every day. This will not just improve your immunity but also restore your healthy way of living. Raw fruits and vegetables are rich in minerals, vitamins, enzymes and antioxidants which are essential for proper functioning of the thyroid glands. You can even consider having a fruit and veggie smoothie every day to keep your thyroid activity good.
Including Spices
When you wish to increase your metabolism and make your body immune, you should consider including spices in your body. Black pepper, ginger, chilli peppers and cinnamon all help increase the body temperature, increase the metabolism of your body and help the blood circulation of your body.
Have Organic Food
You should never include junk food in your diet especially when suffering from thyroid problems. Organic animal products contain less pollutants and chemicals, hence they are considered good for those of you suffering from thyroid disorders. They also possess high nutritional content as compared to other kinds of food.

Fatty acids help improve the metabolism within your body and also increase the circulation within your body. This is very important when you are fighting hypothyroidism. You should ideally food that are rich in fiber as they are appetite suppressant which is essentially necessary for you body. Flax seed, acai berry, hemp seeds etc. are all good sources of fatty acid. They will help improve the metabolism while reducing the thyroid issue in your body. Flax oil is also a great supplement when you wish to have fatty acids omega 3.
