Bad Habits That Give You A Paunch
No matter what you do, the number on the weighing scale remains the same. There are multiple changes in your diet, new exercises, but still your tummy looks bloated and big. Did you know that there are some unhealthy habits that cause your tummy to remain big and look ugly?
Habits such as chain smoking, indulging in those happy hours at the bar and binge eating will lead to an unhealthy tummy. These three habits are a terror on the stomach and thus no extra hours of exercise at the gym will help you reduce your tummy. Sleeping right after consumption of food is bad for one's health as you are not allowing time for the food to burn down in the body. The fat, which is not burned, will accumulate around the tummy, and thus make you put on more weight.

We all generally tend to overlook these habits which greatly affect our life. The habits which have been enlisted below should be of good riddance if you want to keep your waistline to a minimum.
Take a look at these things you must give up today.
Smoking
Chain smoking or any smoking will lead to a bloated belly. To stop this bad habit, try to make it a point to include bitter foods in your diet to help overcome the urge for a cigarette. This will gradually help you to stop smoking. It is one of the worse habits that aid in getting a paunch.
Being Lazy
By being lazy right after a heavy meal will not help in keeping your tummy flat. One of the worst habits to follow that aids in a paunch is lying down and resting after a heavy meal. A walk or sitting for an hour or so for digestion is necessary to get rid of a paunch.
Binge Eating
Binge eating is another bad habit to stop. When you binge eat, one is unaware of the amount of calories and portions in consumption. As soon as you put an end to binge eating, you will see your tummy getting flat!
Skipping Meals
Skipping meals doesn't help in achieving a flat stomach. Skipping meals aid in bloating of your stomach which is painful. Eating every 2 hours, in smaller proportions is better than indulging in a good amount of food piled on the plate. This is one of the ways in getting rid of a paunch.
Happy Hours
Happy hours make you feel happy, indeed. But, the amount of calories which is present in one drink is enough to add to more than you have lost. It is better to opt for red wine instead of hard drinks as it doesn't add to the paunch. This is one habit to stop when trying to lose weight on the tummy.
Lite Yummy Products
Did you know that sugar free items - diet sodas, low fat snacks are actually bad for your health. These kind of foods which not help one in the long run. The sweeteners present in these foods are artificial which trigger the metabolism to increase the storage of fat in and around the tummy region.
No Bread At All
It is said that whole-grain breads and any cereal with good grain is good to consume. These foods allow the insulin to rise and gradually reduce the chance of adding fat in your belly. A certain amount of carbohydrates also helps in the digestion process. Many stay away from bread as they consider it to be fattening. It is not a habit to stay away from as it could give you a paunch.
Fatty Foods
You may think that stepping away from all sorts of fats is good for the body. This is not true. A certain amount of fats should be consumed by you in order to stay fit and to give you energy. Monounsaturated fats are healthy, but, stay away from those which aren't!
Difficult Digestion
Digestion after every meal is important. When you take a walk after a meal, whether big or small, you are allowing your food to break into divisions. Thus this helps in not allowing the fat to get stored in the tummy region.
Saying No To Veggies
Veggies are a must for you to consume. When you say no to veggies - you are not allowing the fibre content present in the veggies to aid in digestion and to relieve constipation.
