The research shows that the joints will get activated when this is done and this will lessen the pain. So, here are some of the poses in yoga with which the arthritis can be treated. Always practise them with the support of a wall initially as you may not be able to maintain the balance and might fall.
a) Sun salutation: The first pose can be sun salutation and the yoga can be started with this pose. For this pose, elongate the body fully so that the body will be stretched in every part. Raise the hands above and inhale. Then exhale and bring the arms down and touch the feet without bending the knee. Do this every day for five times.
b) Warrior: Stand in the mountain poses and bring the feet apart. Now raise the arms parallel to the floor and turn your head to the left. Turn the left foot to 90 degrees and bend the left knee. Stay in this position for 30 seconds and do this with the right feet and right knee. This can be done five times every day.
c) Tree pose: Stay in the mountain pose, bring the left feet to the inside of the right thigh with the toe pointing downwards. As you inhale stretch the arms sideways, bring the arms together in a pray position. Now raise the arms in the prayer position and keep breathing through the belly. Do this with the right feet as well and stay for 30 seconds in each position.
There is a saying, "Do not get your joints rusted, so use and exercise on them daily". The yoga not only cures the arthritis but also burns the extra calories in the body and built the muscle in the body. Doing this yoga for 30 minutes a day for four to five times a week will help in reducing the arthritis and making the body fit and healthy.
These are some of the poses in yoga which can be done for the arthritis. Make sure you visit a rheumatologist or the family doctor before staring the yoga as some bodies are not eligible for them. So, talk to them and start doing yoga so that it is safe and there will not be any complications with it after starting. Slowly start doing them and increase the time over a period of time.
