For The First Time Ever, Designer Displays A Hijab Collection At New York Fashion Week

New York Week is always the highlight of all fashion magazines, bloggers and websites all across the globe. But this time, it was a designer who stole the limelight and broke the internet with her first-of-its-kind collection.

The designer Anniesa Hasibuan is a Muslim designer who hails from Indonesia. She is also one of the first Indonesian designers to showcase her collection at New York Fashion Week's official venue.

Her collection caught the attention when the models walked the ramp wearing hijab. Yes. For the first time ever, some designer has brought hijab to the runway.

She takes this inspiration from her hometown Jakarta, where hijabs are worn with almost everything, jeans, suits, kimonos, etc.
