You should avoid washing towels with detergent in warm water as it may weaken the fabric slowly. Washing them in warm water not only weakens the yarn but also fades the colour of the fabric. If you want to keep your towel in good condition, you should add vinegar and baking soda to the water instead of a detergent. Give two washes to your towel, one with vinegar and the second one with baking soda.

Washing clothes in hot or warm water or drying them under direct sunlight can shrink the fabric. However, in order to bring them to normal size, make use of baby shampoo.
