15 Hideous Gowns That Spoiled The Red Carpet At the Oscars 2016

And the Oscar for the worst dressed goes to.......................... Heidi Klum, Kerry Washington,Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet and the list goes on.

This year the red carpet was filled with some of the best celebrities who wore hideous gowns that not only made heads turn, it gave one a splitting headache.

From bright coloured gowns to feathery ones, these actresses who are under the scanner for the worst dressed at the Oscars 2016 could have done much better.

On the other hand, the coutures worn on these beauties are created by fabulous and very talented designers. So, what would have gone wrong with their look on the red carpet at the Oscars, is what we fail to understand.

Maybe if you take a look at some of these gowns on the blazing carpet, you will figure out the flaw in these looks.

So, what are you waiting for? Take a look at some of the worst dressed celebrities at the Oscars 2016 red carpet:

Tina Fey

When Reese walked the red carpet we almost mistook her to be Tina. Both the beauties wore a similar shade, but Tina's gown was much more ugly to look at.

Kerry Washington

Kerry appeared in a gown that made her look ready for the battlefield. The black and white leather bodice gown with a thigh-high slit by designer Atelier Versace was not red carpet wardrobe.

Kate Winslet

She was the lady who grabbed all the attention and it was not because she was standing beside Leo. It was her liquid black silk lamé dress by Ralph Lauren gown that did all the attention seeking. She paired her gown with statement-making diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet.

Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler knew she would get all the unwanted attention at the Oscars 2016 which is why she dressed this way. The embroidered floral number by Andrew Gn with cape sleeves certainly got a lot of eyes.

Cate Blanchett

Coming to Cate, it was an unexpected look over the centuries. This beauty made a statement in an Armani Privé seafoam green cap-sleeve mermaid gown that featured hand-sewn clusters of Swarovski crystals and white feathers. She could have done much better, agree?

Alicia Vikander

This actress seemed like a canary on the red carpet at the Oscars 2016. The dusty yellow gown by Louis Vuitton with silver embellishments and a peekaboo hem was not at all worth a second look.

Heidi Klum

While others won real awards, Heidi Klum won the award for the worst dressed at the Oscars 2016. Heidi turned heads in a lavender and white Marchesa design that featured floral appliques at the waist and shoulder as well as a keyhole cutout.

Rooney Mara

Never in our wildest dreams we thought to see Rooney's abs on a red carpet. Wearing a blood red lip hue and hair tied to a hun, Rooney wore a jaw-dropping white embroidered gown by Givenchy Haute Couture that featured a diamond-shaped cutout at the tummy.

Naomi Watts

The actress wore an Armani Privé sapphire blue and purple strapless gown embroidered in stripes of Swarovski crystal in a chevron pattern.

Robin Dearden

Dressed to kill, Robin wore a see through number which was bright enough to blind any of us. The sparkling electric hue was not a gown best suited for the Oscars.

Gianna Simone

Florals are in, but too much of it can be blinding. Gianna's red floral gown was indeed one of the worst dresses in history.

Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg took us by surprise. The Sister Act star wore a satin black off-the-shoulder number, which showed off her not so good looking shoulder tattoo to full effect.

Jackie Miranne

The greenish yellow gown was not at all pleasant to the eyes. In fact the colour was way too bright, hiding away her natural beauty.

Orlando Jones

Fashion can go to it's extremes! Orlando Jones played with gold and silver hues on his suit. Even the touch of bronze on his tux was a little too much to inhale.

Pharrell Williams

Pharrell is always known for his uncanny style. This time he walked the red carpet in a dapper black tux but his ankle pants wasn't that inviting to the eyes.
