Sanchita Ajjampur was born in Mumbai and moved to Europe at the age of three. She has lived most of her life in Europe and speaks fluent English, German, Italian and French, as well as colloquial Indian languages. She received her fashion degree from the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne and her Fashion and Technology Master's degree from Domus Academy in Milan. Her career started with an Issey Miyake workshop in Japan, after which she carried out extensive research on Indian heritage textiles. Sanchita is Chairperson of the Southern Branch (HO Bangalore) of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce, where she represents an important business and cultural link between Italy and India.
