Delicious Potato & Cabbage Curry Recipe

Delicious Potato & Cabbage Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cabbage- 1 (medium sized, shredded)
  • Potatoes- 3 (diced)
  • Onion- 1 (sliced)
  • Ginger- garlic paste- 2tsp
  • Tomatoes- 2 (finely chopped)
  • Cumin powder- 2tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1tsp
  • Green chilli paste- 1tsp
  • Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Cumin seeds- 1tsp
  • Bay leaf- 1
  • Oil- 2tbsp
  • Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)

Procedure

  1. Wash the cabbage properly with water. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and bay leaf. Fry for a minute.
  3. Add the diced potatoes, salt and fry for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.
  4. Then add the sliced onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Mix in the chopped tomatoes, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Now add the shredded cabbage and mix well.
  7. Add salt, garam masala powder and cook on medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
  8. Once water starts coming out from the cabbage, cover the pan with a lid and cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame.
  9. Once done, remove the lid and switch off the flame.
  10. Garnish the curry with chopped coriander leaves.

Yummy potato and cabbage curry is ready to be served. Enjoy this vegetarian dish with rotis or steamed rice.
