Gajar Halwa With Oats Tadka!

All You Need

  • Oats -1 ½ cup
  • Skimmed milk - 500 ml
  • Carrots- 300 gms
  • Sugar - 1/4th cup
  • Khova - 100 gms
  • Cardamom Powder - a pinch

Carrot Halwa Recipe For "Visit Your Relatives Day"

Procedure

  1. Firstly grate the carrots or grind them coarsly in a mixer.
  2. Add milk in a pan, boil it and add carrots and oats to it. Stir well.
  3. When the mixture gets thick and dense add khova to it and constantly stir.
  4. Add sugar to the carrot mixture and stir well.
  5. In a new pan add ghee and when its hot add cardamom and a pinch of cinnamon.
  6. Once the powder is hot add carrot mixture and stir well.
  7. Serve hot with a few chopped badam pieces.

Nutritional Tip: Carrots and oats are nutritious but including this recipe in your diet if you are health conscious then its not the right choice.
