Cheesy Potato Au Gratin Recipe For Easter

Potato au gratin is a popular dish for Easter. This delicious easter recipe is prepared with milk, cheese, cream and of course, the potatoes. The dish is baked along with mixed herbs which lend an exquisite flavour to this melt-in-mouth delight.

It is not really a good option for the weight watchers. But then, you can chuck the calorie count for Easter and enjoy this delightful delicacy.

SPINACH CORN AU GRATIN FOR EASTER

So, get ready with the ingredients and prepare this lickalicious recipe of cheesy potato au gratin.

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • Potatoes- 6 (medium sized)
  • Garlic- 2 cloves
  • Cheese- 2 cups (grated)
  • Whole milk- 1 cup
  • Mixed herbs- ½ tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Fresh cream- ½ cup

Procedure
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
2. Peel the potatoes and slice them into thick roundels.
3. Mix the cream with milk. Do not boil it.
4. Rub the garlic cloves inside the baking dish properly.
5. Now arrange a layer of half the sliced potato roundels in the baking dish.
6. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potatoes so that it is covered completely.
7. Then pour half of the milk-cream mixture over cheese.
8. Sprinkle salt and the mixed herbs.
9. Again arrange another layer of potato slices, then cheese, milk-cream mixture, salt and herbs.
10. Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and bake it in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
11. Once done, remove the foil and bake it for another 10 minutes to get the golden brown top.
12. Serve it hot.

Creamy and cheesy potato au gratin is ready to be served.
