Crisp Baby Potatoes Fry Recipe
Baby potatoes are available in this season. The market is flooded with these small potatoes that are a fresh harvest. In Indian cuisine, a lot of dishes are based on the chief ingredient, potato. However, it is a blessing to enjoy the seasonal fruits and vegetables. The taste is different, and also brings a change in the menu!
There are many recipes that can be prepared using baby potatoes. The small potatoes can either be fried or turned into a lip smacking gravy. The best way to enjoy the baby potatoes is to have it without peeling them. This makes the small potatoes taste crisp and all the more delicious. Here is a quick recipe to prepare small potatoes fry. Baby
potatoes-
8-10
2.
Green
chilli-
2-3
(halved)

Onion-

Tomato-

Turmeric
powder-
1tsp
6.
Red
chilli
powder-
1tsp
7.
Coriander
powder-
1tsp
8.
Garam
masala-
a
pinch
9.
Cumin
seeds-
1tsp

Salt-
as
per
taste

Oil-
½
tbsp
Procedure
1.
Wash
the
baby
potatoes
very
nicely.
The
small
fresh
harvest
are
coated
with
mud
so,
wash
them
in
running
water
as
they
are
not
even
peeled.
2.
Heat
oil
in
a
frying
pan.
Slowly
add
the
baby
potatoes
one
by
one.
Be
careful
so
as
to
not
add
water
or
else
the
oil
will
splutter
and
can
hurt
you
as
well.
3.
Fry
on
a
medium
flame
for
about
4-5
minutes
till
they
turn
golden
brown
and
look
crisp.

Meanwhile,
ground
the
onion
into
a
paste.
Also
ground
tomato
and
keep
the
two
separately
in
bowls.
5.
Once
fried,
lower
the
flame
and
strain
the
potatoes.
Keep
in
a
plate.
6.
In
the
same
pan,
add
cumin
seeds.
When
the
seeds
start
to
splutter,
add
the
onion
paste
and
cook
for
about
3-4
minutes.
Add
turmeric
powder
and
salt.
7.
Cook
for
2
minutes
and
then
add
green
chillies.
Now
add
tomato
paste
and
cook
for
another
3-4
minutes.
8.
Mix
and
add
red
chilli
powder,
coriander
powder
and
garam
masala.
9.
Mix
all
the
ingredients
well
and
add
the
fried
baby
potatoes.
Mix
and
cook
for
another
minute.
The baby potatoes fry is ready to eat. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot.
