Yummy Tehri Recipe

All You Need

  • White Rice - 2 cups
  • Cauliflower - 100 gms
  • Onions - 2
  • Potatoes - 3
  • Frozen green peas - ½ cup
  • Green Chillies - 3
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Bay Leaves - 2
  • Cinnamom - 2 stick
  • Cardamom - 2 pods
  • Cloves - 4
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder -1tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt To Taste

Yummy Mushroom Red Pepper Recipe

Procedure:

  1. Firstly wash the rice and strain and keep it aside.
  2. Add oil in a pot and heat it. Add whole spices, cardamom, bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon until the aroma is released.
  3. Add onions to the pot. Cook until it turns golden brown.
  4. To the pot add chopped veggies and some more oil and green chillies. Cook this for 2 mins on medium flame.
  5. Add chilli, turmeric and coriander powder and fry for 3-4 mins.
  6. Now add the green peas, salt and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Saute the veggies in the pot for a while.
  8. Add the strained rice to the mixture and stir gently so that the rice doesn't break.
  9. Add water according to the amount of rice and cook it for 10 mins.
  10. After 10 mins check if the rice is settled and if needed, cook it on simmer for next two mins.
  11. Delicious tehri is all ready to eat!

Nutritional Tip: This recipe contains veggies. If you are diet conscious then add less oil and ghee.

Tip: This tehri recipe is best combined with a spoonful of ghee on top, this vegetarian rice recipe is a must try.
