Wheat Pita Bread For 'Ramzan' Season
During this occasion , the food that the Muslims eat is light, nutritious meals that contain a lot of fresh fruits , vegetables and halal meats. Many types of food can be prepared and with so many Muslims all over the world celebrating this holy festival there are different varieties.
The Whole Wheat Pita Bread is one such food that is famous in all Muslim houses during this special holy season. It is indeed perfect for those of you who are looking to add more more wheat ingredients to your diet. This bread has both white and wheat flour and is really simple to make.

Directions:-
- You have to first dissolve the yeast in warm water . Add honey to it and stir. Afetr about 10 to 15 minutes the water will begin to froth.
- Now in a separate bowl, you have to mix the wheat flour and the white flour along with the salt for taste.
- After you mix the flour continuously, make a small depression in the middle and pour the yeast water.
- Now add in some warm yeast water and stir with a wooden spoon preferably until you see the dough becoming elastic.
- Knead the dough till it becomes smooth and elastic.
- In a large bowl of vegetable oil , place the dough so that it is covered in the oil. Cover it and let it stay for about 3 hours. Let it be in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
- Once you see that the dough is doubled , roll out in a rope and pinch out 10 to 12 pieces . Now roll out the dough into circles with a rolling pin, onto a floured surface.
- Make sure that each piece is about 5 to 6 inches across and ¼ inches thick.
- In a n oven of 500 degree C, bake the circled shaped dough for 4 minutes till it puffs up. Like wise turn over the dough and bake again for 2 minutes.
- After it baked, remove the pita with a wooden spatula and gently push down the puff and ploace in the storage bag.
To keep the Pita Bread for a longer time, you have to store it well in a proper place so that you can keep it longer and it will stay fresh every time you grab a bite. It can be stored for a month too if you keep it in a freezer bag and place it in the refrigerator.
