Sweet Potatoes For A Softer Chapati

It is nice to have hot hot chapatis for meal as they are light food but to some it may seen tasteless and dry, for that, today we would want to share with you a secret recipe on how to make delicious sweet potato chapati. Sweet potatoes blend well with the dough making the chapatis even softer and tastier. Have a look.

Sweet Potato Chapati Recipe, Semi Sweet Indian Bread

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup sweet potatoes (peeled, boiled)
  2. 2-3 green chillies (fried)
  3. ' tsp cumin seeds
  4. Pinch of ginger paste
  5. ' cup chopped onions
  6. Chopped coriander
  7. 2 cups Wheat Flour
  8. Water as per requirement
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 tsps of Oil
  11. Ghee for frying

How To Make Sweet Potato Chapati:

  1. Mash the potatoes well.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine potatoes with all the above ingredients (except ghee). Knead well to soft dough.
  3. Make small balls of the dough and roll it to a thin round.
  4. Heat the tawa (pan) and fry the chapatis with ghee until the brown spots appear. Tasty sweet potato chapatis are ready to taste.

This sweet potato chapati recipe serves 2.
Serve the tangy south Indian roti hot with ghee and a spicy curry.
