Ingredients
For The Koftas

  • Paneer- 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Potatoes- 1/2 cup (boiled and mashed)
  • Ginger- 1tsp (grated)
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic- 2tsp (chopped)
  • Milk powder- 1tbsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Coriander leaves- 1tbsp (chopped)
  • Oil- for deep frying

For The Gravy

  • Onion paste- 4tbsp
  • Tomato puree- 1/2 cup
  • Ginger-garlic paste- 1tbsp
  • Green chillies paste- 1tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Sugar- 1tsp
  • Cashewnuts paste- 1tbsp
  • Cinnamon- 1 large stick
  • Cloves- 5-6
  • Cardamoms- 4-5
  • Garam masala powder- 1tsp
  • Butter- 2tbsp
  • Fresh cream- 2tbsp (for garnish)
  • Ginger juliannes- 1tsp (for garnish)
  • Coriander leaves- 1tsp (for garnish)

Procedure
1. Heat oil for deep frying in a pan.
2. Mix all the ingredients listed under koftas together in a bowl and make small balls out of it.
3. Fry these balls in the oil till they turn golden brown on low flame.
4. Once done, keep the koftas aside.
5. Heat butter in a pan and add the cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves to it. Fry for a minute.
6. Add the onion paste and cook till it turns golden brown.
7. Then add the ginger-garlic paste and stir fry for another 2-3 minutes.
8. After that add the tomato puree, green chillies paste, salt, sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
9. Then add in the cashew paste and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
10. Add in a little water for gravy and allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
11. Now add the garam masala powder and switch off the flame.
12. Arrange the koftas on a serving platter and pour the gravy over them.
13. Garnish with fresh cream, ginger juliannes and coriander leaves.
