Shravan Special Vegetarian Recipes
The month of Shravan according to the Hindu calendar has started. Shravan is considered an auspicious month for the Hindus. In North India, during this month, most Hindus abstain from eating non vegetarian food. It is the month of vegetarianism and most women observe fast on every Monday during this month.
Cooking vegetarian for one whole month can be a tricky job. Churning in the same recipes for the same vegetables can become very monotonous. Kashmiri Dum Aloo

Kumror Chenchki
Kumror chenchki literally translates to pumpkin dry curry. This authentic and delicious pumpkin curry is prepared using a unique blend of Indian spices, collectively known as 'panch phoron' or five spice mix. This five spice mix adds to the unique taste in the curry.
Bhindi Ka Salan
Salan is a very popular recipe from Hyderabad. It is generally prepared with green chillies. But here we are using the same ingredients used in salan to make this delicious vegetarian recipe of bhindi ka salan.
Kathrikkai Curry
This spicy eggplant recipe is stir-fried with lot of onions and aromatic spices. You do not need a lot of ingredients for this delicious vegetarian recipe. The special flavour to this dish is added by the freshly powdered chana dal or bengal gram dal.
Dal Dhokli
The recipe of dal dhokli consists of two main parts; first the dhoklis are prepared by rolling out thin pieces out of the wheat flour dough, and in the second part they are cooked in a thin and spicy dal.
