Bread Masala Peas Recipe For Breakfast

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bread slices - 2
  • Green Peas - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 1 small
  • Tomato - 2 medium
  • Potato - 1 small
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Sambar Powder - 2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt

Procedure :

  1. Start by first toasting the bread. When done, keep it aside.
  2. Boil the fresh green peas in the microwave for about 3 minutes until its soft. Pressure cook the potato for a whistle and then mash it using a masher.
  3. Now heat oil in a kadai and when hot add in the ginger garlic paste and fry this for 30 sec. Now add the chopped onions and fry for until its turns golden brown in colour.
  4. Now add in the chopped tomatoes and fry it till the onion and tomato turns into a fine paste.
  5. Then add the mashed potato and the boiled green peas to this mixture, add in the sambar powder and mix all the ingredients well together using a flat spoon.
  6. Top the dish with lemon juice mixture.
  7. When done, apply this mixture uniformly over the toasted bread.
