Homemade dry gulab jamun

Serves- 5

Cooking time - 10 minutes

Preparation time - 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Khoya- 250 gm
  • Paneer - 100 gm
  • Maida - 2 teaspoons
  • Milk Powder - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Cardamom- 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Dry Coconut - 1/2 cup

Procedure

To make the dough

  1. Take a large bowl and to it add khoya, grated paneer, maida and milk powder.
  2. Mix all the ingredients well.
  3. Add little milk and prepare a soft dough.
  4. Keep it aside for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Make small round Jamun balls.

To make the sugar syrup.

  1. Take a bowl and add 2 cups of sugar and one cup of water.
  2. Add cardamom to the sugar syrup.
  3. Once the thickness is formed, keep the sugar syrup aside.

Meanwhile, add oil to the pan to fry the Jamun.

Once the oil is hot, add the jamuns, one by one.

Fry them on low flame until they turn reddish-brown in colour.

Transfer this to a plate.

Then put them in the sugar syrup.

Allow the Jamun to absorb the sugar so that it becomes soft.

Now take a plate, mix the powdered sugar and the grated dry coconut.

Remove the Jamun from the sugar syrup and roll it over the coconut and sugar syrup.

Place this in the fridge for about two hours.

After the mentioned time, serve the tasty yummy gulab jamun.
