Summer vacation of your kid has already knocked the door, so it is time to cook dishes of their choice. To make your kids feel happy at home and not crave for street food, prepare some delicious cakes. Kids love cakes so here are a few old and new ways of making cakes. Take a look.
The way of baking depends on the type and variety of the cake. Whisking and creaming methods are not the only two ways of making cakes. New methods like all in one, boil and bake, rubbing in and many more have started capturing the minds of the cake makers.
Making cakes may be simple or a lengthy process, but the rules are always the same. The type depends on the fat you are using and the end result which you want.
Different Methods Of Making Cakes -
-
All-in-one:
As
the
title
explains,
these
cakes
are
made
by
mixing
all
the
ingredients
at
once.
The
ingredients
are
beaten
together
and
kept
aside
for
a
few
hours
to
set.
-
Boil-and-bake:
The
fat
and
liquid
are
boiled
together
before
the
flour
is
added.
Then
mixing
and
whisking
is
carried
just
like
the
above
technique.
Another
straightforward
method.
-
Rubbing-in:
In
this
method
the
making
starts
with
butter
which
is
added
into
the
flour.
It
is
in
the
same
way
as
for
the
short
crust
pastry.
Butter,
block
margarine
and
lard
can
also
be
used
while
making
the
mixture.
It
is
a
very
easy
method.
-
Creaming:
A
term
used
when
a
cake
is
made
with
butter
or
margarine.
It
means
that
the
fat
and
sugar
are
beaten
together
until
it
becomes
creamy.
The
mixture
is
beaten
with
wooden
spoon
and
the
eggs
are
then
slowly
added
into
this
mixture.
It
is
the
most
common
and
simple
method.
- Whisking: This is also another common method of baking cakes. Eggs and sugar are whisked in hot water for 10-15 minutes but if you are using an electric mixer then 5-10 minutes should be enough. All these cake mixtures are either pressure cooked or baked in the oven.
