Today we present to you a sesame seed biscuit recipe, which most of can munch as a snack. Filled with the goodness of sesame seeds, the sesame biscuit is good for children too. Have a look at the sesame seed biscuit recipe.
Sesame seed biscuit recipe – tasty sweet treat!
Ingredients for sesame seed biscuit recipe:
- Sesame seeds – 1 bowl
- All purpose flour – 2 cups
- Baking powder – ¾ teaspoon
- Baking soda – ' teaspoon
- Butter – 3-4 tablespoons (kept at room temperature)
- Desi Ghee / Dalda – 2 tablespoons
- White sugar – 5-6 tablespoons
- Brown sugar – 2-3 tablespoons
- Egg – 1
- Vanilla / almond extract – ' teaspoon (for flavouring)
- Salt – a pinch
Method to prepare sesame seed biscuit:
- Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together by sifting it in a bowl.
- Take a separate bowl and beat together butter, ghee / dalda and the sugars.
- Next add the egg and flavor extract and mix well.
- Tip in the flour and mix to make a dough.
- Make rolls of the dough, wrap completely with cling paper and refrigerate.
- After 4 hours, take out the rolls and make small balls from it.
- Roll each ball in the sesame seeds and press slightly.
- Grease a baking tray and place the balls in it.
- Bake the sesame biscuits for at least 15-20 minutes at about 325 degrees.
Tasty sesame seed biscuits are ready for snacking. Cool the biscuits before storing in an airtight container.
