Ingredients

popcorn
' cup sugar
' cup corn syrup
salt
' tsp baking soda
' tsp vanilla essence

Directions to make caramel popcorn recipe, bedtime snack-

1. Microwave popcorn as per the directions given in the packet.

2. Heat butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt in a large saucepan. Stir on medium flame until it boils. When it starts boiling, stop stirring for 5 minutes.

3. Add vanilla essence and baking soda to the boiling mixture. Stir slowly. The mixture will bubble and foam gradually. Pour it over the popped corn.

4. Mix well until all pieces are coated with the caramel. Spread on un-greased baking sheets and then bake in 250°F (120°C) oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

5. Let it cool. Break it apart into small pieces.
