Garlic Prawn Curry Recipe
Prawns are a favourite seafood item for most of us. The kids especially are very fond of prawns. So, while preparing prawn curry we have to be careful about the ingredients. The colour, texture and taste are very important elements if you are cooking something for the kids. The curry has too look attractive and should be less spicy in order to make it acceptable to the little ones.
Garlic prawn curry is one such recipe which is ideal for your kids if they love to have prawns. This is a simple recipe which looks quite attractive and tastes extremely delicious. Apart from turmeric and red chilli, no other spice is used in this seafood recipe. The taste of this dish is entirely dependent on the garlic and the tomatoes. The curry leaves add the finishing touch to the recipe and makes it totally irresistible. Try out this awesome recipe of garlic prawn curry.

Ingredients
- Prawns- 250gms (medium sized)
- Onion- 1 (thinly sliced)
- Garlic- 8 cloves (crushed)
- Tomatoes- 4 (chopped)
- Lemon juice- 1tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Sugar- ½ tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Curry leaves- 8-10
- Oil- 1tbsp
- Water- ½ cup
Procedure
- Clean and wash the prawns properly. Marinate them with lemon juice and salt and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and fry on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the crushed garlic and fry for another 2 minutes.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar and salt. Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
- Add the prawns and cook for about a minute.
- Add water and mix well.
- Now add the curry leaves. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes on low flame, stirring at regular intervals.
- Once done, check the prawns with a fork and then switch off the flame.
Serve garlic prawn curry with steamed rice. Your kids will surely relish it with pleasure.
