Hariyali Mutton Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • Mutton- 500gms
  • Fresh coriander leaves- 1 bunch
  • Green chillies- 3
  • Onions- 3
  • Ginger-garlic paste- 1tbsp
  • Cashew nuts- 6-7
  • Peppercorns- 15
  • Star anise- 1 small piece
  • Cinnamon stick- 1
  • Cloves- 3
  • Cumin powder- 1tsp
  • Coriander powder- 2tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Oil- 3tbsp
  • Fresh cream- 1tbsp
  • Water- 1cup

Procedure

  1. Wash and clean the mutton pieces thoroughly with water
  2. Wash the coriander leaves and grind it in a mixer with green chillies, into a thick paste. Keep it aside
  3. Grind the onions, cashew nuts, cinnamon, star anise, cloves and peppercorns together into a paste
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add this onion paste to it. Saute on medium flame for about 5-6 minutes
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes
  6. Add cumin powder, coriander powder and fry for another 3 minutes
  7. Add the coriander paste and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes
  8. Now add the mutton pieces. Mix well. Cook for 7-8 minutes
  9. Add salt and water. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes on low flame. Stir at regular intervals
  10. Once the mutton gets completely cooked, switch of the flame and garnish it with fresh cream

Serve this yummy and tempting hariyali mutton curry with fried rice or rotis.
