Grilled lamb chops used be just an ordinary meal about 50 years but now that we have no time for grilling or preparing, it is an easy recipe for Christmas dinner. The marinade for lamb chops is the main part of cooking. If you can get that right then your grilled lamb chops are as good as done. This easy Christmas recipe needs about 30 minutes of preparation time and the same time for cooking.

The ingredients for this spicy mutton recipe are very basic because the taste will come from grilling it well. To try this easy Christmas recipe you need just about an hour's notice to be ready before your guests.

Ingredients For Grilled Lamb Chops:

1. Lamb Chops 8-10 (from the shoulder region preferably)
2. Onion 1 (paste)
3. Garlic 5-6 cloves (minced)
4. Ginger 1 inch (minced)
5. Mustard sauce 1 tablespoon
6. Vinegar 2 tablespoons
7. Parsley or coriander leaves (chopped)
8. Basil leaves (chopped) 1 tablespoon
9. Ground pepper 1 tablespoon
10. Oil 1 tablespoon
11. Salt as per taste

Procedure For Grilled Lamb Chops:

  • Soak the lamb chops with onion paste and salt while you prepare the actual lamb chops marinade with vinegar.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to vinegar and beat it for at least 3-4 minutes. Add mustard and the spices and beat again for 5 minutes.
  • Coat the lamb chops with the marinade and refrigerate it for an hour. Thaw it for 15 minutes after removing from fridge to bring to room temperature.
  • Switch on the grill of your microwave to high and let it warm for 4 minutes. Brush the chops with oil and put them on the skillet for grilling.
  • Grill on each side for 5-7 minutes (depending on how big the chops are).

Serve hot grilled lamb chops with mayo and mustard sauce.
