Ingredients

  • Chicken - 12 pieces
  • Onion - 4 tsp ( paste)
  • Garlic - 1 tsp (paste)
  • Ginger - 1 tsp (paste)
  • Pepper Powder- 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ingredients for the batter
  • Cornflour - 3 tbsp
  • All Purpose flour - 2 tbsp
  • Baking Soda - a pinch
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Procedure

  1. You need to first sprinkle the salt and chilli powder gently on the chicken lollipops.
  2. In a bowl, add in the onion paste, ginger and garlic paste and mix them together to make one paste. Now add to the paste the pepper powder and again mix it gently.
  3. Now using this paste, marinate the chicken lollipops. After you marinate the chicken, leave it aside for 15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, you have to add in cornflour, the all purpose flour, baking soda, salt and water. Using these ingredients make a fine batter.
  5. The batter is then used to coat the marinated chicken lollipops. After you have coated the chicken, keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  6. When the oil is hot, gently place the chicken lollipops into the pan and fry it. Turn the lollipops from side to side so that the chicken gets fried completely.
  7. When you see the chicken turning into a golden brown colour, remove the chicken from the oil and place it in an oil absorbent paper.

Your chicken lollipop is now ready to eat. You can enjoy this yummy chicken along with Chinese fried rice too. Garnish the chicken lollipop with black pepper to give you an added spicy taste.
