Chicken Malai Tikka

Ingredients
Boneless chicken breasts: 1 kg
Butter: 3 tablespoon
Double cream: 1 tablespoon
Natural unsweetened yogurt: 2 tablespoon
Green cardamoms: 5 cloves
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
Freshly grated nutmeg: 1 teaspoon
Ground cumin: 2 teaspoon

Chopped green chillies: 3
Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
Oil: 3 tablespoon
Salt: to taste
Finely grated cheese: 3 tablespoon

Preparation time: One hour (including marination)

Chicken Malai Tikka

Method Of Preparation

  1. Sprinkle salt and lemon juice over the chicken pieces, cover with a lid and keep aside.
  2. Blend together yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, half the butter, cream, cumin, cardamom, nutmeg, green chillies, cheese and oil to form a smooth paste.
  3. Pour this paste over the chicken and marinate the meat for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  4. Grill the chicken in a an electric griller for 15 minutes on each side or bake in an oven at a temperature of 180°C for 15 minutes.
  5. While baking the chicken, occasionally baste with butter.
  6. Serve hot on the skewers with zeera rice or naan.
