Moroccan Chicken And Peas Recipe

Today, we here to share a yummy Moroccan Chicken and Peas Recipe which is easy to make. Veggies play a key role in this recipe, we use less amount of chicken.

Chicken And Peas Recipe

Cook Time: 30 minutes

All You Need

  • Chicken - 400 gms
  • Frozen peas - 250 gms
  • Potaotes - 500 gms (peeled & diced)
  • Onion - 1 (chopped)
  • Garlic Cloves - 2-3 (chopped)
  • Fresh Parsley - 1 tsp
  • Ginger - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp
  • Black pepper - ¼ th tsp
  • White pepper - ¼th tsp
  • Saffron - few strands
  • Chicken Broth - ½ cup
  • Water - ½ cup
  • Olive Oil - 1/4th cup
  • Salt to Taste

Procedure

  1. Add chicken with half the amount of onions, garlic, herbs, and spices in a bowl and stir well.
  2. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  3. Add olive oil in a pan and heat. Add the rest of the onions in the sauce pan.
  4. Once its golden brown add peas. Stir for a while and add chicken mixture.
  5. Add water to the chicken mixture and make sure all the ingredients in the pan are mixed well.
  6. Now add the potatoes slices/cubes to the chicken and sprinkle some salt and pepper.
  7. Add the chicken broth in the same pan and drizzle the remaining olive oil in the pan.
  8. Cook the ingredients over medium-low heat. Keep stirring it so that it doesn't stick to the pan.
  9. Add some water along with a little salt and pepper if you feel the veggies have absorbed too much moisture.
  10. Check if the chicken and veggies have released their juices.
  11. This is formed when chicken and veggies turn tender. Switch off the flame. Your dish is ready.

Nutritional Tip: This recipe is rich with veggies and chicken which is a great combo of many nutrients and protein.

Tip: Serve the dish right from the pan along with some flaovoured rice or with a crusty slice of bread.
