Coriander Chicken: Quick Chicken Recipe

Coriander chicken is a delicious gravy that will offer you an ideal change of taste. This coriander chicken recipe is absolutely easy to make and as simple as it gets. This quick chicken recipe requires no special ingredients to make and the maximum preparation time is 15 minutes. If you are really tired after a hard day's work, you can still try this Indian food recipe. Most of us are bored with eating gravies that taste similar to each other. Coriander chicken is one gravy that will revive the distinctness of your taste and rekindle your love of Indian food curries.

The main ingredient of this coriander chicken recipe is of course coriander leaves or parsley. The main spice used in this quick chicken recipe is pepper. As no harsh spices are used in coriander chicken it will not assault your taste buds and is perfect to feed small children. Due to its mildness this chicken coriander recipe unlike other Indian recipes is a healthy choice for you. It does not make use of dripping oil or indigestible spices.

Ingredients For Chicken Coriander:
1. Chicken 500 grams (medium sized pieces)
2. Onions 2 (finely chopped)
3. Garlic 6 cloves (finely chopped)
4. Ginger 1 piece (finely chopped)
5. Coriander leaves (one whole bunch)
6. Coriander seeds 1 tablespoon
7. Peppercorns 10
8. Ground Pepper 2 tablespoons
9. Cumin Seeds 1 teaspoon
10. Cumin powder 1 tablespoon
11. Green Chillies 4
12. Vinegar 1 teaspoon
13. Bay Leaf 1
14. Sugar 1 teaspoon
15. Salt to taste
16. Oil 2 tablespoons

Procedure:

  • Make a paste by grinding coriander leaves, peppercorns, green chillies and almost all of the coriander seeds.
  • Marinate the chicken with this paste, vinegar, cumin powder, sugar and salt.
  • You can marinate the chicken for as long as you want but a minimum of half an hour is fine.
  • Now heat oil in a deep pan and singe the bay leaf and the cumin seeds in it.
  • Sprinkle ground pepper and the left over coriander seeds in the crinkling oil.
  • Saute the onions to golden brown and then add the garlic and ginger. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Now transfer the chicken into a pressure-cooker, add 2 cups of water and let it cook for 3 whistles (about 7-8 minutes)

Your Coriander chicken is ready to serve. Eat this mouthwatering chicken gravy with steamed rice or bread.
