Chicken Dakbanglo is one such Indian chicken recipe that even has eggs included in it. Chicken Dakbanglo is a very spicy Indian chicken recipe. So if you are ready to taste it here is the recipe.

Ingredients For Chicken Dakbanglo (Serves 4 People):

A. Main Ingredients

  • Chicken– 500gms cut into 8-10 pieces
  • Eggs- 5
  • Potato– 2 medium sized potatoes each cut into 4 pieces
  • Tomato – 1 chopped
  • Yoghurt – 100gms
  • Ghee – 2-3tbsp
  • Onions- 2-3 finely chopped
  • Mustard Oil – 100gms
  • Salt and sugar to taste

B. Spices

  • Turmeric powder– 1tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1-2tbsp
  • Cumin powder – 1tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1tbsp
  • Garam Masala – 1tbsp

Other Ingredients

  • Bay leaves– 2
  • Cloves– 3
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2tbsp


Procedure of Making Chicken Dakbanglo

  • Boil the eggs and potatoes. Peel and keep them aside for few minutes.
  • Coat them with turmeric powder and salt. Fry the coated eggs and potatoes in mustard oil until they turn golden brown.
  • Now remove the eggs and potatoes from the oil and keep them aside.
  • Add 1tbsp ghee into the same oil and heat it.
  • Drop cloves and bay leaves into it.
  • Add onions and fry until it turns golden brown.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry it for2-3 minutes.
  • Now, add the yoghurt into the mixture and stir well so that no lumps are formed.
  • Add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and red chili powder. And add salt and sugar to taste and then fry it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the chicken, eggs and potatoes and cook well.
  • Add some water and cover it with a lid. Let it cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle ghee and garam masala in this Indian Chicken recipe before serving it.
