WIFW 2014 Day 3: Payal Pratap
Payal Pratap was inspired by the costumes and prints of Japanese women. Her autumn winter collection at Wills India Fashion Week 2014 had kimonos and monochrome prints which were extensively used in silk. Payal Pratap's collection inspired is inspired from The Korean culture exhibits loads of floral prints on Rylon fabric.
The Japanese fashion was brought on the Indian ramp by Payal Pratap. The show opened with Bjork singing. Black silk kimonos with monochrome prints were seen in the beginning of the show. Metallic, velvet and monochromatic kimono inspired dresses with vibrant Japanese clogs at Payal's show. Even colourful floral print and thread embroidery were seen on the ramp. Monochrome, cherry blossoms and magnificent prints looked bright and colourful on the ramp.
We even saw colourful and floral printed sarees which were accessorised with thick black obi belts. Embroidered velvet maxis, loose and frilly brocade blouse, floral printed sheer long skirts looked charming.
Just loved the top knot and winged out eye makeup that added the touch of charm and perfection to the Japan inspired collection of Payal Pratap. The collection was overall nice and chic. Silk drapes, colourful prints, hair and makeup everything set the perfect mood! Gold, red and floral embroidery was indeed very Japanese. The metallic obi belts looked perfect with the creations.
