WIFW 2015: Alpana & Neeraj’s Japanese Style
Alpana & Neeraj opened our eyes on day 1 at the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week 2015. The fashion event which is the most awaited show in the year started with a delight. These designers collection on day 1 for the Spring Summer season was enthralling.
Day 1 of WIFW 2015, Alpana & Neeraj showcased Japan's astonishing obsession with everything cute or Kawaii. The collection was shown on the ramp with such vibe and enthusiasm.
Bold colours and gigantic add ons on the gowns were superbly seen. The importance of Alpana & Neeraj's collection was to bring out the culture of the Japanese life.
The patterns of these dresses were so outstanding. It was something we have never seen before. Dresses with multiple frills, layered in different patterns and so uniformly made to suit the ramp, making it the highlight of the designer's collection.
Alpana & Neeraj's collection had sharp linear structures. Some of the outfits also had bows and scallops, large floral patches, long linear dresses that ran into ruffles. To the back of these dresses, obe add ons and structured ties up finished the Japanese look.
The fabrics that were used were of multiple options. From soft sheer, raw silk and satin, these fabrics on the outfits added the oomph factor which made the look all the more appealing.
If we have to compare this out of the blue collection showcased by Alpana & Neeraj on day 1 at WIFW 2015, we would say that each one of them resembled a living doll. The hairstyle too was so complex and plastic that no one would have believed it to be real.
All in all, this collection of Alpana & Neeraj's at WIFW 2015 was out of the box. It now makes us wonder which celebrity will actually have the taste in this fashion. On a realistic note, Bollywood celebrities will take hold of this fashion and make it a statement sometime soon in the future.
