IIJW 2014 has been a star-studded affair so far. The first day of India International Jewellery Week 2014 was wrapped up by Sunny Leone walking for Apala by Sumit Jewels. The ramp was literally scorched when Sunny Leone graced IIJW 2014 centre stage with her presence. She was dressed in an amazing black lace gown. Her gown was a one shoulder outfit with a sweetheart neckline.

ONE YEAR BACK.. MUGHDHA GODSE WALKED FOR APALAONE YEAR BACK.. MUGHDHA GODSE WALKED FOR APALA

Sunny Leone looked totally hot in this outfit and the Apala by Sumit jewels. There was a definite theme behind each piece of jewellery designed by Sumit Sawhney. For IIJW 2014, the theme of the Apala collection was 'The Royal Tribe'. That is why, you could distinguish both royal and tribal elements in this jeweller. The form of the jewellery was decidedly tribal because it was large and chunky. However, it had royal motifs and patterns like the regal elephant and the ethereal lotus.

Sunny Leone was adorned with massive sculpted gold necklace with spikes in it. This diamond encrusted necklace covered Sunny's entire neckline. She also wore solid cylinders in her ears and dressed her hair with a diamond tiara. But the most eye-catching piece of jewellery on Sunny Leone was the bajuband she wore.

Here is a closer look at Sunny Leone at IIJW 2014 and also the entire collection showcased by Apala.

The jewellery that Sunny Leone is wearing on her upper arm is called the 'bajuband'. This armlet is made of solid gold and encrusted with diamonds. Truly, an amazing piece of jewellery.

The Parandi

The Parandi

Sunny Leone's necklace has a green parandi attached to the chain made of golden coins from behind. This is another tribal element of the jewellery that is regal and earthy at the same time.

The Royal Elephant

As we said before, the form of the jewellery is tribal but its motifs are royal. The elephant is the insignia of many royal houses. That is why, it has been used as a pendant in this set.

The Ear-cuff

The Ear-cuff

Ear-cuffs for women has become a trend now. But originally, ear-cuffs were worn by men who were tribal heads. Sumit Sawhney harks back to that tradition here.
