Young and unmarried girls in South India wear half sarees on festive occasions. A half saree is pretty much like a lehenga choli. But the pattern of the lehenga is like a saree and it is worn with a matching dupatta.
Kajeevaram Saree
In the South, kanjeevaram sarees are always in vogue. You can pick a nice and colourful kanjeevram saree like this one and wear it with a brocade blouse.
Bindi
When you are trying to look traditional, you must wear a bindi. You can either wear a round kum kum bindi or just draw a dot with black liquid eyeliner.
Gold Jewellery
Traditionally, gold jewellery is very popular in the South. Moreover, traditional gold jewellery will match the golden embroidered sarees that you will be wearing.
Colourful Bangles
You can wear 2 gold bangles in each of your arms. But you should also wear glass or plastic bangles matching your saree. These colourful bangles are cheap and look very vivid.
