Adarsh Gill's 'Evolution' On Day 5 Of IBFW 2013
Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 is slowing peaking towards its end. On Day 5 of IBFW veteran fashion designer Adarsh Gill presented her wares. Adarsh Gill's collection for Day 5 of IBFW 2013 was labelled 'Evolution'. Needless to say you could expect something fresh and novel from it. True to its name, the 'Evolution' collection presented the Indian bride in an 'evolved' state.
Adarsh Gill believes that bridal fashion has to maintain certain basic aesthetics. That is why; her collection at India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 is not going to be really unconventional. There is always a scope for experimentation and that should be made use of. Adarsh Gill has described her collection for the Day 5 of IBFW as a 'fusion' of Western and Eastern elements.
Adarsh Gill has maintained her signature style by using bright and vibrant colours. They are typical Indian jewel colours. However, she has tried different geometrical shapes, silhouettes and patterns. It is supposed to present the India bride in a new light. And as always, she has succeeded. It would be safe to say that Adarsh Gill's collection is the brightest of what we have seen so far at the India Bridal Fashion Week 2013.

Black Sleeveless Dress
The first segment of the ‘Evolution' collection was black in colour. It started with this simple black dress that had a cream coloured applique on it.
Black n Silver Saree
The black chiffon saree was simple. It has a silver border and floral patterns on it. The blouse was pure silver and a swanky halter neck.
Shimmer Black Dress
This shimmering black dress was full-sleeved and better suited for the Bachlorette party than the wedding.
Coat Blouse n Pencil Skirt
If you are looking at a court marriage, then you can certainly try this smart outfit. The blouse had a formal V-neck and buttons. The only bridal touch was the lace on the pencil skirt.
Black Polo Neck Dress
This short black dress has intricate silver work near the neck. The collar was silver and raised in a polo neck.
Black Gown With Sleeveless Jacket
This black floor length gown had very delicate silver embroidery. It was worn with a jacket that was sleeveless and completely covered in embroidery.
Black Trousers n Shirt
The loose black trousers were pretty basic. The shirt has a matte gold collar and floral patterns.
Black Round Neck Dress
This short black dress had a round neck and full sleeves. It was not excessively sparkling but had evenly distributed glitter.
Pink n Gold Dress
After black, Adarsh Gill made use of the colour pink in her collection. This short and sleeveless dress was deep pink in colour. It was studded with golden embroidery.
Pinkish Purple Jumpsuit
It is rare to find a jumpsuit in a bridal collection. But the pinkish purple colour was very bridal. So grab this strapless jumpsuit for a romantic honeymoon.
Sharara With A Jacket
The pink sharara was totally plain except a thin border. The full-sleeved jacket has intricate silver embroidery and set off the outfit very well.
Pink Embroidered Saree
The pink chiffon saree has silver embroidery on the lower half. The drape or pallu was completely embroidered.
Powder Blue Lace Dress
The colour in Adarsh Gill's collection was blue. This full-sleeved lace dress had sheer sleeves and a closed neck.
Cobalt Blue Pleated Dress
As you can see, Adarsh Gill has experimented with the form of this dress. The dress comes up to the knees and then there is a train of pleats that comes from the waist and reaches the ankles.
Moss Green Lace Gown
This is one of the first outfits in the collection that is truly bridal. Full-sleeved gown has an attached shrug and delicate lace work.
Shades Of Bottle Green
After blue, we have bottle green next in the line. Now the 'Evolution' collection gets really interesting. The golden branch work on the outfits is very aesthetic.
Leaf Green Saree
This see-through leaf green saree had very thick borders perforated borders. The saree is ideal for the Mehendi ceremony because it is green.
Metallic White Saree
This saree just steals the show because of its striking colour. The metallic white looks vibrant with intricate golden embroidery.
Pale Yellow Sharara
This pale yellow sharara has a metallic glint to it. The simple sleeveless kurta and the shimmering drape make it perfect for post wedding ceremonies.
Orange Sharara
This sharara was very similar to the previous outfit. But the bottom has a sheer lace covering over the orange pantaloons.
Orange Churidar
The powder orange colour gives the outfit a very subtle bridal touch. The short sleeved kurta is heavily embroidered but the rest of the outfit is simple enough.
Shaded Pink Saree
This pink chiffon saree has a dual shades of dark and light. It also heavy studded with golden embroidery. You can pick it for your reception.
Pink Single Shoulder Kurta
As the theme is 'Evolution', this collection does present an evolved Indian bride to us. Now we have many brides who wouldn't shy away from wearing this bold single shoulder outfit for her wedding functions.
Pink Chiffon Saree
On its own, this is just a pink chiffon saree with a thin and simple silver border. But the designer blouse gives it a festive touch.
Orange Floral Sharara
This sharara is embroidered with golden coin patterns all over. But the front portion of the kurta has floral patterns. It is a good choice for your Nikaah or Walima.
Orange Saree With Jacket
This is a really interesting outfit for the bride. The orange chiffon saree is a draped over a heavily embroidered tube blouse. The embroidered jacket adds a touch of novelty to the outfit.
Yellow Saree With Jacket
This sunflower yellow saree is perfect for the bride of any season. The short sleeved embroidered jacket however looks a little clumsy here.
Purple Anarkali Churidar
This purple kurta was a typical anarkali cut bit it had short sleeves. The shimmering and sheer drape was classy. It is one of the comfortable clothes to wear just after the wedding rush is over.
Navy Blue Gown
This navy blue sleeveless gown had pleats around the waist and some jazzy silver embroidery. Bridal and unconventional.
Navy Blue Churidar
This short sleeved kurta and churidar follow a set pattern. The kurta is heavily embroidered, the churidar is plain silk and the drape is shimmering and sheer.
Navy Blue Saree
The navy blue chiffon saree has silver embroidery but it is a bit too simple for your wedding day. But you can wear it as a newly married for sure.
Blue Saree With Embroidered Jacket
Blue is not a traditional bridal colour. However, if you want to wear blue on your wedding, choose a heavy and ethnic outfit like this one. Pair it with some exquisite sapphire jewellery.
Blue Lehenga Choli
This navy blue lehenga is covered in intricate silver work. The choli is short sleeve and not very extra-ordinary. If you want just another run of the mill bridal outfit then this is not a bad idea.
Orange n Gold Lehenga
And finally, the most stunning outfit of the collection; this orange and gold lehenga choli is perfect for any bride.
Heavy Golden Embroidery
The lehenga was bottom heavy in terms of golden embroidery. The choli was almost totally covered in golden texture and the drape too was studded with sequins.

The showstopper, Esha Gupta took a long walk down the ramp with designer Adarsh Gill to conclude the 'Evolution' collection on Day 5 of IBWF.
