Before we go further exploring beauty uses of almond oil, you need to know what exactly it can do to your skin.

Almond oil is a powerhouse of vitamin E, which boosts the collagen level, which in turn improves elasticity, making the skin firm and supple.

Not just that, almond oil contains antioxidants, which repair, heal and nourish the skin.

Added to that, monosaturated fats, potassium, proteins, zinc and other skin-loving minerals present in almond reduce fine lines, cleanse the skin of deeply embedded impurities, reduce tan and slow down the ageing process.

Now, there are two types of almond oils, one that is extracted from bitter almonds that contains amygdalin, which can be used only for topical application.

Another is sweet almond oil, which is both edible and can be used to be applied on the skin as well.

Take a teaspoon of fresh cream, and add a couple of drops of almond oil. Gently, massage it to your clean skin. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. Use almond oil for dry skin at least twice a week.

Take a bowl, divide egg white from theyolk. Mix 5 drops of pure almond oil to the egg white. Beat until you get a fluffy consistency. Apply a thin coat to your face and neck. Let it sit till it completely dries, then wash it clean with cold water. Try this herbal almond oil mask for wrinkles at least once a week.

Take 4 to 5 almonds and 1 tablespoon of oats. Grind it into arough powder. Using raw milk, mix it into a fine paste. Cleanse your face and apply the mask. Wait till it gets completely dry, then spritz some water, and scrub in a circular motion. Do this for five minutes and then rinse it clean with plain water. Follow it up with a nourishing moisturiser.

Take a teaspoon of freshly extracted aloe vera juice, mix in 5 drops of almond oil. Place it in the refrigerator for 5 minutes and then massage your skin with the chilled concoction. Soak almonds in water for 5 to 6 hours. Grind them into a rough paste, mix a teaspoon of yogurt and whip it into a smooth paste. Cleanse your face and apply the mask. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Then, rinse it clean with lukewarm water. This homemade almond mask will not just lighten skin tone, but also reduce the skin's oil production, preventing wrinkles.

Take a teaspoon of organic honey, and mix in a few drops of almond oil. Apply a liberal amount to your lips. Let it sit overnight. In the morning, exfoliate your lips gently with a soft towel.

Take a big piece of papaya, mash it into afine paste, and add a few drops of almond oil. And massage the mask onto your skin. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Scrub and rinse. This mask reduces the oiliness of your skin, dries pimples, without being too harsh!

Soak 5 almonds in water for a few hours. Grind it into afine paste. Add a few drops of rosewater and lemon juice to the mask. Apply an even coat to your wet face, wait till it dries, and then rinse it clean with plain water. Apply this mask, twice a week, to get rid of the tan.

Eyelashes Serum

Take10 drops of olive oil, and add 5 drops of almond oil. Mix until it blends well. Apply it to your lashes, let it sit overnight, do this every night, to make your lashes visibly thicker and darker.
