So, lets take a look at some of the best ways you can make sure that the facial does not damage your skin:
Stay Away From Wax
If you wax your facial hair, avoid doing it 24 hours before you get a facial done. Waxing can aggravate the skin when you are doing the facial and thus welcome unnecessary skin rashes.
It is best to not even scrub your face before a facial, as scrubbing can inflame the skin leaving it to feel tender and delicate to touch.
Step away from the sunlight 24 hours before you get a facial done. The sun's rays can tamper with your skin and burn your pores, which can later have an effect on the ingredients that are used for the facial.
If you are a botox lover stay away from facials for the next 48 hours. The massaging from the facial can mess with your skin thereby causing infection.
Keep your paws off from the pimples on your face. If you touch or pinch the pimples, the infection will spread to the other areas on your face, causing more pimples to form. And, when you do a facial the ingredients and the pus from the pimple will make your skin feel worse.
If you are wearing false eyelashes remove them before you go in for a facial. False eyelashes can harm your eyes if you forget to remove it before your appointment.
It is best and necessary to avoid exfoliation before a facial as exfolaiting contain retinol and glycolic acid that can sensitise the outermost layer of the skin.
