Big pores, ugly spots, poppy pimples, and fine lines, our skin is never really without problems. You see, the thumb rule is not to hide it - but treat it - make them disappear, poof!
And try as we may, we cannot quite comprehend why people have to blow-out big bucks on fancy products when the solution is right there - in the kitchen.
And there are always silver bullets, you know selected ingredients, which take care of them all. Like this glowing face mask recipe we are about to discuss.
The ingredients included in this herbal face mask for clear skin are vitamin E, glycerin, rose water. Now, let us understand the properties and how they work on your skin.
Vitamin E packs a powerful punch of antioxidants that lock in the moisture, reverse the signs of ageing and lighten dark spots.
Glycerin, on the other hand, is composed of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen, which helps the skin retain water, keeping it supple. It removes clogged impurities from the skin, improving the skin shade. It is also known to control oil production in skin, which in turn combats acne and blackheads.
The last ingredient in our DIY radiance-boosting mask, rose water, restores the skin's pH balance, while hydrating and revitalizing the skin!
Here is the step-by-step method on how to make your skin glow naturally and that too overnight!
Cleanse your skin thoroughly of all the dirt and impurities with a mild cleanser. Using a microfiber towel, pat your skin. Avoid rubbing your skin harshly, unless you are looking for wrinkles.
Take a bowl and 1 vitamin E capsule. Prick the capsule with a clean needle or safety pin and squeeze out the gel in a bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of non-comedogenic glycerin to the bowl; and using a spoon, stir it well, until both the ingredients blend well.
Add a few drops of rose water to the solution. Tweak the amount, depending on what consistency you want and on your skin type.
Apply it liberally all over your face and neck, and massage. Stroke your skin in an upward direction for optimum stimulation and to increase the blood flow. Keep doing it, until the mask gets absorbed into the skin.
Let the vitamin E mask stay overnight. In the morning, you will notice your skin turn visibly soft, supple and glowing. If you have excessively dry skin, apply this mask every night; and if you have combination to oily skin, do it twice a week.
