Is it safe to use ghee on skin? A question that has crossed our mind at some point or the other. While we certainly psyched about eating food generously laden with clarified butter, we just ain't that sure about applying it on face!
As usual, we set out to find answers! Clarified butter, made from saturated fats, happens to be a powerhouse of vitamins A, D and E, which together form a powerful antioxidant.
This potent antioxidant works to bolster the collagen level of the skin, improves elasticity, which in turn keeps signs of ageing at bay.
Furthermore, it is packed with fatty acids, which act as a natural absorbent, easily seeping into the skin layers, locking in the moisture, keeping the skin supple and smooth.
From treating chapped lips, adding glow to dull skin and closing hair cuticles, there is much more that ghee can possibly do.
How to use ghee on skin? As tempting as it may be, you cannot just lather up your skin with clarified butter. To get the most out of it, you need to temper the butter right and combine it with equally therapeutic ingredients to get the most out of it!
