Using Natural Cures To Prevent New Tattoo Infections
"Show me a man with a tattoo and I'll show you a man with an interesting past." - Jack London
Tattoos are an exciting way to wear your attitude on your sleeve. Tattoos can not only represent your beliefs, but also make a style statement amongst your peers.
Initially, ink on the skin was considered to be meant only for the youth. These days; however, this form of a self-expression is meant for anyone who has the courage to sport their ink without a care.
Many people who have tattoos wear them with pride, as they have gone through many hours of pain to get the results that they want.
Those people who have multiple tattoos also have a story behind each and every one of the tattoos that they share every time they gather with friends.
If tattoos had to be summarised in 1 phrase, it would be "an exhaling experience." However, fresh tattoos that are not taken care of properly can lead to infections and other complications.
These complications often ruin the entire experience. Tattoo-related infections can also lead to permanent scars and dis-figuration of the inked region.
How can you take care of your new ink without using expensive products, is an excellent question. Continue reading to know the 3 ways to heal fresh tattoos naturally without spending a dime extra.
Heal Fresh Tattoos Naturally In A Cinch
Use Homeopathic Creams to Moisturise : Once you are back from the tattoo studio, the first thing you should do is to remove the plastic wrap. Wash your new tattoo under warm water for 5 seconds, without rubbing the skin with your fingers.
Take a clean cloth and very gently dab the tattoo dry. Apply a homeopathic ointment such as calendula cream to avoid infection. This will also ensure that the tattooed skin doesn't dry up too quickly.
If the skin is not moisturised, then the skin will crack, which will lead to the ink to set in improperly. This can in turn cause the tattoo to lose the intended effect. Remember to moisturise your skin 3 to 4 times in a day with an antiseptic agent such as a calendula cream.
Protect Your Freshly Inked Skin From Moisture: Before going for a shower, remember to apply either a calendula cream on the tattoo or apply small amounts of coconut oil.
Remember to apply the chosen moisturising agent 1-inch more than the external borders of the tattoo. Repeat this step every time you bathe, until the tattoo is fully healed.
Wear Loose Clothes and Protect The Ink From Sun Rays: It is a natural tendency to show off the tattoo as soon as you get it done. However, this should be the last thing that you should do.
Exposing freshly inked skin to the sun will cause the ink to fade away at a rapid pace. Wearing loose-fitting clothes and hiding away your tattoo for 5 to 10 days is the best way to lock in the colour permanently.
Remember, tattoos that are healing itch a tremendous amount. Applying a cream and staying away from direct exposure to the sun will ensure that the itching is reduced significantly.
Whatever you do, do not scratch the tattooed area for at least 10 to 15 days, as this will cause the tattoo to scab repeatedly and heal improperly!
