Facial Exercises For A Younger Looking You
Facial exercises have gained popularity in the past few years. A gym can definitely help us in toning and sculpting the muscles of our abs, arms, legs, back or shoulders.
However, it does not do the same to the 57 muscles of our face and, hence, with age, we see wrinkles, fine lines, eye bags and drooping jaws.
These effects can actually be reversed without any costly chemical treatments, but simply by incorporating 10 minutes of facial exercises in your everyday schedule.
The benefits of a facial exercise are not just limited to reducing the lines on your face, but also strengthening your face muscles, toning and lifting up the skin.
It also helps in increasing the oxygen level, improving the blood circulation and detoxification. When combined with a massage, facial exercises result in a younger-looking skin.
The muscles of your face play a very important part in shaping up your face, and hence sagging of these cause your face to lose its youth.
Facial exercises act as a natural facelift in such cases. It helps in working out of those facial muscles, which are not used frequently and need toning.
As these muscles regain their strength, you lose the years in your appearance and finally look younger. Now, to know how to exercise facial muscles keep reading this article.
Do Some Warm Up First
Before you begin with your facial exercises, do not forget to start with some warm up.
For this, you can begin with some simple neck and shoulder exercises like rotation, stretches, etc, which are to be followed by doing some exercises for your eyes.
Use Index And Middle Fingers Near Eyes:
Take both your middle fingers together at the centre of your eyebrows and the index fingers at the outer corners of the eye. Now start applying some pressure.
After this, all you have to do is to look up and try to move the lower eyelids up as well, then relax and repeat the process at least 6 times.
Lift The Eyebrows:
Another easy exercise is lifting your eyebrows as much as possible with your eyes wide open and frowning at the same time. This also has to be repeated a few times in a day.
Lip Exercise
While keeping your teeth hidden, try to make an ‘O' with your lips and then keeping the teeth still hidden, smile as wide as possible. Repeat for 6 times. This is a great way to tone those chubby cheeks.
Exercise For Facial Muscles:
A simple facial exercise is raising your eyebrows as much as you can. To add to this, you should open your mouth as wide as you can and stick your tongue out to the maximum possible length. Hold the position for at least 5 seconds and repeat the procedure for 6 times. This is a great way to workout multiple set of facial muscles in one go.
Smile Exercise:
With the help of your index, middle and ring fingers you should press your cheeks and smile as wide and hard as you can. While smiling, work against the pressure applied by the fingers on your cheeks.
Move The Nose:
Moving your nose from one side to the other as far as possible is also a good way to work up those idle muscles.
Exercise For Double Chin
Stretch your neck and look towards the ceiling then stretch your lower jaw forward, so that you feel the pull in your jaw line, chin and neck. Perfect to get rid of that double chin.
