Avoiding chemicals and by following natural methods will keep your skin safe from any harmful side effects. Have you ever thought about how to care for dry skin without altering your skin care routine?
Here you can find some effective tips and tricks to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

Skip hot baths and showers:
Avoid long, hot baths and showers as hot water will strip the natural oils present in your skin faster than warm water. Limit your bath time to 5 or 10 minutes. Use only unscented, soap- free cleansers to keep your skin hydrated. Never rub your skin, but blot it gently with a soft towel.
Moisturise your skin:
Slather a good quality moisturiser immediately after taking a bath and when the skin is still moist. This is because moist skin traps the existing moisture on your skin faster than dry skin. Instead of using lotions go for moisturising creams or ointments that contains ingredients such as olive oil, Shea butter, glycerine, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, lanolin or petroleum jelly. All these ingredients will help to hold moisture and soothes your skin.
Avoid harsh skin care products:
Stay away from deodorant soaps and beauty care products that contain alpha-hydroxy acid, alcohol, retinoids and fragrance. Avoiding these types of ingredients in your skin care products as it helps to hold the moisture for long. Always wear lip balm to guard your lips from cracking.
Wear gloves:
Your hands can easily become dry as they are more exposed and dry hands are easily noticeable. How to care for dry skin, particularly your hands? Well, wearing gloves while outdoors, is the one of the best skin care tips to protect your dry hands. Also, it is advisable to use gloves when doing house chores.
Avoid rough clothing:
Always wear cotton clothes or wear it under woollen clothes to prevent skin irritation. Woollen clothes often causes itching and irritation when your skin is dry. What's more, even laundry detergents can cause a reaction to the dry skin. Therefore, use only laundry detergents that are labelled as hypoallergenic.
Eat healthy:
Drinking plenty of water can keep your skin hydrated naturally. Include food items with omega-3 fatty acids like fish, flax seed and walnuts in your diet that enhances the oil-retaining mechanisms of your skin.
