Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent for the skin. Massage the affected area with fresh lemon juice twice in the day to get rid of the dark patch on the cheeks.
Potato juice is another natural bleaching agent which is helpful in lightening skin colour. Make a juice out of one potato. Use the juice as a face cleanser and twice in the day rinse the area with this ingredient. Potato juice will reduce the sun tan on the skin, in less than a week.
Rich in vitamin C and bleaching properties, tomato juice is another home remedy to use on the skin to get rid of dark spots. Apply a thick tomato face pack on the patches, leave it to dry for 5 minutes and then rinse the face with warm water. Repeat this home remedy after 3 days.
Rinsing the face with fresh buttermilk will help to get rid of dark spots on cheeks. Buttermilk is rich in calcium which aids in lightening the skin tone. Use buttermilk as a natural face wash for one week to solve the skin problem.
Apple Cider Vinegar
In a bowl, add three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Mix one tablespoon of rose water to the vinegar and mix the contents. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture, squeeze out the excess vinegar and gently dab the cotton ball over the dark spots. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes and repeat the remedy.
Warm castor oil is massaged on the dark patches to help lighten it. After 10 minutes post application, rinse the cheeks with warm water to remove the excess oil from the face.
Aloe vera is a gentle and soothing ingredient to use on skin. Aloe vera gel is massaged on the dark spots twice in the day to get rid of the skin problem. After using aloe on the patches, rinse the area with rose water. This rose water will open the pores and remove dirt from the face.
Sandalwood is an oldest ingredient to help solve a number of skin problems. Apply sandalwood paste directly on the dark patches to lighten the skin colour. Sandalwood paste also helps to cool the skin.
