Cleanse twice: For people who have acne, you should cleanse you skin twice every day. This skin is exposed to dirt, pollution and also secretes oil. Acne can increase if the skin is not cleansed. So, cleansing is a basic skin care routine for acne prone skin. Cleansing removes dirt, excess oil, dirt, sweat and makeup. You can either cleanse your skin with milk or wash with a cleansing face wash. If you have acne breakouts, use cleansers that have benzoyl peroxide.

Exfoliate: You have to fight acne from its roots. Exfoliation is one skin care routine that you should follow every day to cure acne. Exfoliating the skin removes excess oil and dead skin cells, reduces the formation of comedonal acne and softens the skin.

Toning: It is often advised that you should remove makeup before going to bed. Leaving the makeup on skin leads to acne breakouts. Soak a cotton ball with toner and wipe your face. It removes dirt, sweat and makeup from the face. Prefer alcohol-free toners as alcohol in toners can make the skin dry and itchy.

Seasonal skin care: Seasonal changes affect your skin. As it is winter, you need to keep your skin moisturised. Dry and itchy skin can be really irritating. So, you have to care for the skin, according to the season. Use an oil-free moisturiser for winter skin care.

Do not squeeze: Acne breakouts can be depressing. One small acne or pimple breakout makes you more conscious. You try to hide it with makeup or stop going out. In worst cases, you try to squeeze the breakout so as to get rid of it. Well, squeezing out the acne can lead to more breakouts. Let the pus come out by itself. Once the pus is out, wipe it with a clean cotton ball and then wash your face with a face wash.

Apply lemon: Lemon is a natural ingredient that can help get rid of acne. Your daily skin care routine need not have lemon. You can rub a slice of lemon on your face twice or thrice a week. It cures acne, removes dead skin, reduces acne and pimple scars from the skin. However, lemon can dry up the skin. So, do not forget to apply a moisturiser after cleaning your skin with lemon.
