Sunscreens can last for more than 2 years: Do not throw the sunscreen bottle if you didn't used it for months. Sunscreens have the capacity to last for around 3 years. However, make sure you read the instructions written on the bottle and check the expiry date as all sunscreens might not have longevity. Moreover, if the colour and consistency of the sunscreen has changed, replace it.

Water resistant sunscreens are best: When you go to the market to buy a sunscreen, you get confused with the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) values. Prefer a sunscreen that has SPF 30 and is water resistant. Washing your hands or face will flow off the sunscreen thus making it exposed to sun damage.
