Oil recipes that are brewed at home can be customize for you. Body oils are any day better than creams or lotions to deal with any kind of skin problems, especially dry skin. 1. Tea Brewed Oil: Tea tree oil is a very effective oil for your skin. It has intense anti aging properties. The problem is that it is either too difficult to find or it is too expensive.

  • Tea leaves brewed in body oils too can serve the same purpose.
  • You can use either olive oil or coconut oil for this concoction.
  • Now you cannot really boil olive oil. You will have have to keep the oil in a pot of boiling water and add soaked tea leaves to it.

2. Brewed Sandalwood Oil: We all know the numerous cosmetic benefits of sandalwood oil. But it is not so easy to find it, is it?

  • Sandalwood powder however can be found if not readily available.
  • This oil recipe has to be prepared in the microwave or an oven instead of a pan on flame. This is because the soft aroma of sandalwood can be easily destroyed by excessive heating.
  • Preheat the oven to about 250 degrees and then brew a neutral oil like carrier oil with the sandalwood powder for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • This ensures that you have a body oil that is anti bacterial (thus prevents acne) and is also one of the best dry skin remedies.

3. Aloe Vera Oil: This natural ingredient that works like magic on your skin is usually available in the gel form. But the oil is much more convenient to use.

  • So all you have to do is grow an aloe vera plant at home. Scrape up the spike and crush the leaf. Mix it with sunflower oil.
  • Take 2 capsules each of vitamin E and C; break them into the oil and heat mildly.
  • You can also add a glycerin to this mix in extremely dry climates. Fragrance is optional.

4. Rose Oil: Although it is not rare, rose oil is not as easy to find as rose water. However it is one of the best remedies for dry skin.

  • Pick a fresh rose in the morning. Shred and crush it's petals, put the slush in a glass jar.
  • Pour a concoction of coconut and olive oil over the crushed petals and close the jar lid tightly.
  • Let the fragrance and the essence bleed into the oil overnight. Next morning you can use it.
