Men in Britain are definitely walking ahead of time on these days. A recent research has found out that the average shoe size for men have grown by one in the last five years. The reason? Men's feet are growing bigger.

Debenhams the UK departmental store—revealed that the average shoe size in 2004 for UK men was 8 inches and now it has grown to size nine. The demand for size 12 shoes has soared, and for the first time gone ahead in requests for size sevens.

For the first time stocking size 13 become a standard fitting across all of the brands. There is a possibility for size 14 too. These shoe sizes, which were available only on special orders on earlier days, have become common accessories on the present day. Interestingly women's shoe sizes are getting broader as well as longer.
